Derek Cutlip, who grew up in Arizona, attended University of Arizona before transferring to Whitworth College, in the Pacific Northwest, in 1986.
After falling in love with the PNW and Eastern Washington, he decided to permanently make this area his home. He has lived there ever since.
After answering God’s calling to serve in youth ministry from 1987-90, he landed a job at a prominent Christian radio station in 1991. After which, he spent seven years as an associate pastor at Community Bible Church. But God called him back to radio ministry in Spokane, where he served as an On-Air Personality at KTSL 101.9 FM, before moving to Moody Radio 107.9 FM, as a morning host from 2002-2010.
Derek has now been in radio for parts of five decades. He has been been a morning show producer, host, and served in many capacities for community events for Shine 104.9, a position he still holds. But Derek, in his endless quest to serve our Lord, continues to use all his gifts, as he also serves as Chaplain at Huntwood Cabinets, the West’s leading cabinet maker. Finally, Derek is the owner/operator of Veritas Vox Production Studios, and has plans to expand his reach for Yeshua in ventures that will utilize the gifts and talents that God has given him.
Patriot Gaines is excited to share Derek’s ‘Notes on a Scorecard’ approach to imparting wisdom on relevant issues that impact our faith and how we should respond as citizens of both America and God’s Kingdom.
