(This article is one in a series entitled “Killing The Nation State: How COVID-19 Was Used to End the Sovereignty of America”, uncovering the purpose and ultimate objectives of globalism.)
On March 30, 1961, Ronald Reagan delivered a speech before the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. This rousing, yet prophetic sermon (known as “Encroaching Control”) was not only a forewarning of the advancing danger of communism, but provided a sobering reminder of how vulnerable freedom is if left unprotected.
Reagan reminded the audience of how communism had overtaken Eastern Europe and much of Asia. He shares of Lenin and Marx, and the system used to control the masses. Early in his speech, Reagan describes what type of war would be fought:
“Men cry peace, but there is no peace. We are at war and it’s a war we are losing simply because we don’t, or won’t, realize we are in it. It’s an unusual war, fought with strange weapons, but we can’t yell foul. It’s a declared war. Karl Marx laid down the cardinal principle a century ago when he said communism and capitalism cannot exist in the world together. And he then declared the war and said that our way, our freedom, our way of life must be destroyed and on the ruins they will then erect the international communist state. Lenin, in interpreting Karl Marx, said, “It is inconceivable that the Soviet Republic should continue to exist for a long period side-by-side with imperialistic states. Ultimately, one or the other, must conquer.”
Capitalism and communism could not exist together. One would ultimately overtake the other. This was Reagan’s warning to our people in 1961. But it was his final words that made this speech so famous. More importantly, it is these words that haunt us on Election Day 2020:
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children through the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have owned if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well-taught lessons that they in their lifetime must do the same. And If you and I don’t do this, then you and I might spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it once was like in America when men were free.”
Over the last few decades, America has witnessed a steady march towards communism and socialism, through the vehicle of Marxism. But the progress of this movement, which began mid-20th century, has been truncated by the efforts of one man. That man is Donald J. Trump. From the time he was inaugurated up until this very day, we have witnessed a campaign to destroy the reputation and objectives of this president. Why would such a campaign exist? A movement towards a global strategy to stop the one leader that refuses to play by the rules of centralized world government. What was given free reign during the eight years of the Obama Presidency, had been brought to a grinding halt with the policies of the Trump Administration.
They had thrown everything in their arsenal at this president…spying on his campaign, placing a shadow government from within that was lead by the previous president, creating a hoax about Russia, challenging his mental fitness, charging him with crimes he didn’t commit that ultimately lead to his impeachment by one side of Congress, despite no obvious wrongdoing.
Now, the final chapter was underway. A pandemic that would cripple the American people and destroy the robust economy that was built by this president. Then we witnessed rioting over racial divide, which was not caused by this president. Yet, he was anchored with the blame. We watched iconic and historic monuments be toppled one by one. And finally, the politicization of a pandemic that became the final tool to destroy a president that had done nothing to harm our country.
The election pits Trump against life-long politician and globalist-leaning Democratic nominee, Joe Biden. The former Vice President has a long history of troubles while holding various positions in government. But due to the solidarity with his globalist agendas, the mainstream news outlets have ignored entirely any of Biden’s many scandals, inappropriate behavior, and failed policies from his checkered political past.
The protection by the globalist propagandized media even ignored the political scandal of the century when the New York Post released a story about the findings on a laptop from his son, Hunter Biden. The only behavior that cannot be ignored is the bizarre statements uttered by an aging Biden that appears to be battling with dementia, at the very least.
The danger of his candidacy is what Joe and his running mate, Kamala Harris represent. They are the embodiment of leaders that will allow themselves to be manipulated in exchange for the power of their positions. Even if we choose to overlook the endless scandals and incompetencies of Biden, his position on America is clear. He has given every indication that we must rewrite the history of America, and recreate it in a new image: the system of government shared by Karl Marx.
Reagan warned of what this would look like nearly 60 years ago. This is how he described the advancement of Marxism back then. Take note of the eerie comparison’s to today…
“…they are to come out from hiding once again and take up where they left off, re-infiltrate the entertainment industry, and again seek to subvert the screens to communist propaganda. Many people in our midst, misguided, well-meaning, will help them will believe in the civil rights of a man to believe politically what he wants to believe.” Reagan goes on to say, “In spite of this, however, many people in high places in government, many people who mold opinion, through the press and on the airwaves, subscribe to a theory, a belief, that we are at peace and that we must guard our every action so as to make no overt move that would disturb this peace.”
All throughout the COVID-19 Era, we’ve been told that our individual liberties are selfish. We’ve been told that we must follow guidelines, even those that shutdown businesses, for the good of all. The media, government leaders, and government scientists are demanding that we must follow this “new normal” despite how destructive it is to the American way of life and our economic system, which has long been a vehicle of our freedom. All mass media continues to beat the same drum over the pandemic. They have defined their “peace” as following along with a system of government and ideology that was first described by Karl Marx.
Now we are at the precipice of history where the candidates represent a clear-cut choice between ideology, and whether or not you believe in the things that made our country great. It’s a decision to defend liberty, as Reagan said, or embrace communism and socialism. There is no in between. Trump represents the side of individual liberties and values that made our country great. Biden represents a voice for Marxism to usher in centralized world government that knows no borders, and shuns the Bill of Rights as selfish and antiquated.
This election may seem like many to be a mandate over Trump. But I see it as a mandate of freedom. Reagan warned us that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. So we must do what we can to defend that freedom. And every American can participate in this defense by going to the polls and re-electing Donald J. Trump. He is the man standing in the gap of history. And in that gap lies a space where the fall from grace leads to a communist abyss, one that America may never escape from again.

“Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it.” Excellent, eye-opening, bone-rattling ‘wake-up call’ for those who are ignorant of the past and those that choose ignorance. I’m sure President Reagan is turning in his grave right now. I was taught that communism was gradually moving toward capitalism and, likewise, capitalism was inching toward communism and when the two meet they’d stabilize. Now, however, I’m thinking President Reagan was correct when he said the two cannot exist in the world together. One will inevitably concur and destroy the other. Ronald Reagan’s “Encroaching Control” sermon (1961) was indeed prophetic as you suggest. As capitalism sleeps communism creeps and “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction”. I believe today’s generation is the one he was talking about.

Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes I choose a subject to write about. But once in awhile it chooses me. When I was doing research for another piece, I stumbled upon Reagan’s speeches. And as you said, I found him to be prophetic about the time in which we live.
This global push for centralized government will continue. And given the embrace of socialism by the next generation, all of the pieces are in place for this movement to continue unabated. Meanwhile, I’ll keep defending freedom and capitalism. Take care.
